Experience an unforgettable full-day landscape photography adventure along the breathtaking coastline of the Point Reyes National Seashore. From rugged cliffs and crashing waves to rolling coastal hills and iconic seascapes, this workshop is designed to immerse participants in some of Northern California’s most photogenic locations while helping strengthen landscape photography skills in the field.
The day begins with departure from the Sacramento area at 8:00 AM in comfortable group transportation, providing time to relax, connect with fellow photographers, and enjoy the scenic drive to the coast. Throughout the day, a variety of incredible locations along the Point Reyes coastline will be explored, carefully selected for dramatic light, stunning compositions, and unique photographic opportunities.
You will experience and photograph:
Dramatic ocean cliffs and sweeping coastal vistas
Windswept cypress trees and rugged shoreline textures
Historic coastal structures and scenic overlooks
Rolling hills, crashing surf, and hidden beaches
Wildlife opportunities including seabirds, tule elk, and more
Golden afternoon light along the Pacific coast
This workshop is perfect for photographers of all skill levels looking to improve their understanding of composition, exposure, filters, lens selection, and how to work with changing natural light in a landscape setting. You will be provided hands-on guidance throughout the day, helping you see creatively and capture powerful images.
Whether building a portfolio, sharpening technical skills, or simply spending a day creating beautiful images in an inspiring location, this Point Reyes experience promises endless opportunities to capture the beauty of the Northern California coast.
