Secret San Francisco Ballet Portrait Workshop
A Full Day of Ballet Portraits in the Hidden Corners of San Francisco
Monday, October 19, 2026
8:00 - 7:00 pm Full day
Round-trip transportation from the Sacramento Meeting Location included
San Francisco is filled with incredible locations—but some of the most photogenic spots are the ones you’d never find on your own.
Join us for a full day of ballet-inspired portrait photography as we explore some of San Francisco’s best-kept photo locations with our ballerina. We’ll move beyond the typical tourist stops and create dramatic, beautiful portraits in locations chosen specifically for their visual impact.
This isn’t a workshop where we spend the day standing in one place waiting for our turn to shoot.
We’re going exploring.
From hidden architectural gems and dramatic urban backdrops to unexpected locations tucked away throughout the city, each stop will give you a completely different environment and creative opportunity. Our ballerina will bring movement, elegance, and emotion to each location, giving you the chance to create images that look like they belong in a magazine.
Along the way, we will help you make the most of each location—from finding the best compositions and working with available light to directing your subject and creating dynamic environmental portraits.
What Makes This Workshop Different?
Secret San Francisco locations you may have never photographed before
Professional ballerina creating dynamic, artistic portraits
Multiple locations and looks throughout the day
Opportunities to work with both natural light and the latest Westcott lighting gear
Transportation provided from our Sacramento-area meeting location
Hands-on instruction throughout the day
A full day of shooting, exploring, and creating
We'll keep the group moving and the shooting opportunities flowing, with plenty of time at each location to experiment and create your own vision.
Whether you're experienced with portrait photography or simply looking for something completely different to photograph, this is a chance to spend a day seeing San Francisco—and portrait photography—in a whole new way.
Come ready to explore. Come ready to shoot. And come ready to create something extraordinary.
This is San Francisco. But not the San Francisco you've seen before.
